My name is Chloe, and I have been a baby print taker for over 10 years, so you can rest assured that your experience and your casts are in safe hands. I was previously employed by the nationwide baby print company ‘Imprints’; taking clay hand prints in John Lewis stores. The company then merged to form ‘Memory Makers’, taking 3D casts and clay impressions in Mothercare stores until their closure in 2020. Since then, I now work locally as an independent print taker and mold maker.

Your Appointment:

I'll come to you. All casting sessions are carried out in the comfort of your own home, and the cost of your home visit is included in my prices. Pick a date and time that suits you, and submit your request via my contact page.

Locations:

I cover Sawbridgeworth, Harlow, Bishops Stortford, Hertford, Ware and the local surrounding villages. If you live outside of this area, please enquire and I will be happy to discuss a home visit with you.

Appointments:

Appointments last around 40 minutes, but taking the hand/foot impressions themselves only takes about 60 seconds. It helps if baby has been fed before the casting session, but this of course isn't always possible, and it's no problem if baby is unsettled during the casting.

On the day:

I will require a small amount of kitchen counter or table space to set up, as well as a small amount of warm water. The mold is created from the same material used to take impressions of teeth at the dentist, so is completely safe for delicate babies. The hand/ foot is enveloped in the warm, food safe paste, and allowed to set for around 30-60 seconds before being gently removed. Once all the casts are taken, you will be shown your frame and colour options.

Frames and cast colours:

At your appointment, you will be shown the full range of frame and colour options. I have 8 frame options available including black, white, champagne gold, brushed silver, cream shabby chic, pine, beech effect and rustic wood. There are 5 cast colours available including rose gold, gold, silver, pewter and bronze effect. All frames have a pine box backing. If you are looking for something different, or perhaps trying to match a new set of casts to some you've previously had done, please get in touch and i'll only be too happy to try and help.

Payment:

Payment can be made by bank transfer, cash or by credit/debit card using a card reader at your appointment. Full payment will be required at your casting session.

Delivery:

It takes up to 4 weeks to prepare, mount and frame your casts. If you require them sooner please submit a request and I will be happy to help. Once finished, I will hand deliver the casts back to you, to ensure that they are always in safe hands.

Baby's Age:

Casts can be taken right from birth to 1 year old. If you require casts to be taken of older children or siblings, please get in touch and i'll be happy to discuss your requirements.
